The Soccer World
Description
It is a football tournament between manual bots. It is a very popular event which attracts a large crowd that can rival Stamford Bridge. The goal of the event is simple and straightforward- GOLES and SCORE!!
Dimensions and Fabrications
1) The machine should fit within a box of dimensions 30 x 30 x 30 cm (maximum size). The external device used to control the machine such as remote control box or DC converter is not included in the size constraint.
2) Both wireless and wired machines are allowed.
3) Robot should be manually controlled.
4) Chemicals, compressed gases and rockets, fuels, combustion power methods, etc. are strictly prohibited. However commercial batteries like dry cells and lead acid can be used.
Rules
1) The duration of each match will be 5 minutes (i.e. two halves, each of 2.5 minutes duration). A 30 seconds break will be given after half time during which the teams will be allowed to attend to their robots.
2) Each match will be a one-on-one match between two similar teams selected randomly.
3) The team with the highest number of points is the winner of the match. In case of a tie, a penalty shootout will be held, details of which will be announced at the time of the event.
4) The teams will be short-listed for final rounds on the basis of their elimination round.
5) In final rounds, matches will be one-on-one with a scoring system.
6) The organizers reserve all rights to vary any of the above rules. Participants must regularly keep checking the website for further updates.
7) No. of participates per group is Maximum 2 members
8) The robot will be checked as per the specification by jury member appointed by the college before enters in to the tournament and if any failure may lead to disqualify..
9) No oblige on the any decision will be given by jury member.
10) The electric voltage between 2 points anywhere in the machine should not be more than 12 V DC at any point of time.
11) The final decision of judges is binding to all participants..
12) Any misbehavior of code of conduct will lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
13) Registration fee for Robo-Race is Rs. 100/- per member.
